About the odds

Why no percentages are shown.

Mutation roll rates are not officially published. Multipliers above are community-reported from gameplay and consistent across sources; chances are marked unknown until verified. The two exceptions are the Sakura Incubator odds — Bloom 97.5% / Spirit Bloom 2.5%, reported by Pro Game Guides — which apply to incubator results, not hatch rolls. Luck boosts (like the community-reported Lucky Hatch purchase) are said to improve rolls, but their exact effect is undocumented.

How do mutations work in Steal An Egg?

When an egg hatches, the pet can roll a color mutation (Golden ×2 or Rainbow ×5 income) and, separately, a size (Giant ×3 or Tiny). One of each can stack, so the best documented combo is Rainbow + Giant at 15× base income. Update #1 added a separate system: the Sakura Incubator applies Bloom or Spirit Bloom to an egg before it hatches.

What is the Bloom mutation in Steal An Egg?

Bloom is applied by the Sakura Incubator in the Cherry Blossom Zone. Charge the incubator with Sakura Crystals (about 1,000 for 100%) and it mutates your egg — 97.5% of results are Bloom, 2.5% are Spirit Bloom. Charging to 150% before mutating guarantees Spirit Bloom. Its income multiplier hasn't been published yet; sources only say it greatly increases the egg's value.

What are the chances of hatching a Golden or Rainbow pet?

Not published. Community consensus is that Golden is the most common roll, Rainbow the rarest, and Giant/Tiny uncommon in between. Any exact percentage you see online is an estimate.

Does Giant make the pet better than Rainbow?

They stack, so it's not either/or. Alone, Rainbow (×5) beats Giant (×3); together they multiply to ×15. Giant also adds Speed, which helps when carrying eggs out of deep biomes.

Do mutations help me progress to new biomes?

Indirectly — higher income funds treadmill and base upgrades faster. Giant's Speed boost also directly helps outrunning guardians while carrying stolen eggs.
